About us
IMMPACT supports startups, investors and the broader impact ecosystem with the IMMPACT Guide – the reference framework for building purpose-driven ventures. Together, we’re working toward a livable, sustainable, future-ready impact economy.
Vision & mission
The economy of tomorrow has impact.
Success is measured by how economic activity shapes society and the environment – not just by profit.
We are building a shared, practical understanding of impact across the startup and investment ecosystem.
The IMMPACT Guide provides the common reference framework: a shared language, hands-on guidance, and an entry point for founders, investors and supporters alike.

The Ω Guide
The IMMPACT Guide combines the IMMPACT Model with its companion playbook, the Lean Impact Journey. The IMMPACT Model offers a step-by-step guidance for meeting the requirements of impact measurement and management (IMM) at every stage of a startup. The Lean Impact Journey provides the knowledge base, along with practical tools and methods to put IMM into action.
Through events, IMMPACT workshops and community-driven blog content, we’re deepening the understanding of IMM in practice – and building a shared language for impact.
We also collaborate with partners beyond Germany, driven by a strong belief in the potential of an impact economy.
And we practice what we preach: guided by the lean impact approach, with our own theory of change and a constant focus on evolving based on real needs – from startups, investors and the ecosystem at large.
Ω — a collaborative effort with strong partners
With a shared vision of an impact economy, the Bertelsmann Stiftung, PHINEO, the Federal Initiative for Impact Investing, and Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany (SEND) launched the IMMPACT Guide. But we wouldn’t be where we are today without our community and their invaluable feedback.
The same goes for our outstanding Sounding Board, whose expertise helped shape the IMMPACT Model and the Lean Impact Journey.
